Job Description
  • Develop and implement end-of-month financial processes and time-frames.
  • Prepare end-of-month and end-of-year accruals, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and clear suspense and control accounts.
  • Manage payroll General Ledger (GL) processing and interfaces.
  • Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts as needed.
  • Assist in preparing Annual Financial Statements and reports.
  • Prepare reports for external obligations.
  • Conduct financial analysis as needed.
  • Contribute to improvements in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Exhibit leadership behaviours.
The Successful Applicant
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in financial and asset accounting, including Australian Accounting Standards, Financial Management Act 2006, and Treasurer's Instructions.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial accounting services in line with governmental and stakeholder expectations, and community values.
  • Full working rights within Australia
  • Current National Police Clearance or able to obtain
