**Our client is a highly successful, innovative service and asset operator using their extensive expertise in contract management, systems, infrastructure, finance, WH&S, and risk management. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team to engage and partner with the functional business units and asset category teams to understand current procurement systems and processes as well as emerging procurement systems and processes in order to facilitate the successful implementation of strategic and transformation plans.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The purpose of this 2-year fixed term role is to focus on delivering efficient and effective procurement and contractor management systems and processes at the company and business unit level, as well as to execute a 2-year procurement enhancement program.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- To develop and deploy strategies to ensure that procurement and contractor management systems and processes are fit for purpose and aligned to the procurement transformation strategy.
- To research industry best practice with respect to procurement and contractor management systems and processes then actively promote these across business units and asset categories.
- Lead transformational activities across the organisation to build procurement organisational capabilities, improve procurement efficiency through organisational savings and develop robust governance for all procurement activities.
- Develop and analyse key procurement indicators and contractor performance against KPIs and prepare monthly reports to monitor procurement performance and compliance and to enable the identification of optimisation opportunities across the organisation.
- Partner with the Chief Financial and Technology Officer to develop organisational and team strategies in support of the business plan and organisational objectives.
- Negotiate and operationally manage or support contracts where required.
- Design, implementation and improvement of sourcing processes and practices.
- Design, implementation and improvement of contractor processes and practices for major services contracts at the asset level.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Relevant qualification in procurement, finance or related field.
- Post-graduate qualification in business desirable.
- Proven experience as a procurement manager or similar role.
- Proven ability to drive functional excellence in regard to procurement.
- Ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate in internal and external environments.
- In-depth knowledge of contract preparation and review, invoicing and negotiation terms.
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and communications in diverse, internal and external environments.
- Demonstrated experience in executive, committee and Board reporting.
- Demonstrated success in similar roles.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work proactively and take initiative to deliver effective outcomes working both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent attention to detail.
