Melba Support Services is a highly ethical and committed NFP which supports people with disability to live the life of their choice. Melba is an NDIS service provider offering a wide range of services across much of Victoria, including individualised support, day services, community living and group homes (Supported Independent Living), recreation and respite, and support coordination. With revenue in excess of $120M per annum and over 1200 employees, Melba supports close to 1300 people with disability to lead fabulous lives of their choosing.

This newly created role will be a key member of a small, cohesive executive team, and a core element of this role will be the development of strategy associated with participant experience, quality, safeguards and compliance. You will assume responsibility for the assessment and enhancement of service excellence, ensuring a wonderful experience for participants in Melba’s programs. You will also assume responsibility for quality and safeguards, ensuring human rights are upheld within a zero tolerance (of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation) environment. Governance aspects of quality including oversight of an audit and compliance program will also be a key part of this role including personal outcomes measurements. Stakeholder interaction is also critical for this role both within and outside of the organisation. This role is key in maintaining and advancing Melba’s culture of social justice and participant empowerment especially through interaction with Melba's operations staff.

You are a skilled and experienced professional with a record of senior, ideally executive, leadership of quality in a service-related field, which may or may not be in disability. You are a thought leader who is able to contribute to strategy and a team player who is able to add value to the operations of an executive team. You are ambitious and seek to develop your career within a rapidly developing organisation with plenty of upside and an excellent value set.
