**About the Program**
- Investing in Women: Women In Inclusive Sustainable Economic Recovery (IW) _is a multi-country Australian Government initiative in Southeast Asia that seeks to accelerate women's economic empowerment through increased and equitable opportunities in the private sector, contributing to inclusive, sustainable economic recovery and growth in targeted countries.

IW's new phase continues the ambitious agenda of advancing women's economic empowerment championed by its predecessor program. It builds on the results, partnerships, learnings and credibility established under the first eight years of IW. IW's new phase will extend and scale Australia's contribution to supporting women in the region and advancing gender equality through continuing to influence an ecosystem of policymakers, business leaders, capital providers and women's economic empowerment actors in Southeast Asia.

Positioning women at the centre of economic resilience and recovery and accelerating their economic empowerment is critical to achieving a wide range of objectives pertaining to sustainable development in Southeast Asia. As the region recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, gender-sensitive economic recovery strategies will be critical to prevent further deterioration in women's economic empowerment indicators seen during COVID-19. Focus on an inclusive recovery seeks to harness the productivity, skills, capacity, talent, innovation, and leadership that women offer, and realise the benefits of women's economic empowerment for themselves, their families, and their communities.

IW will run for four years, from January 2023 to 2027, with an option to extend for a further six years. Initial countries of focus will be at least Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, with some activities engaging at a regional level.

IW has four mutually reinforcing outcomes for the new phase:

- **Workplace Gender Equality**:

- More business adopt and implement workplace gender equality organisational changes.
- **Affordable Quality Childcare **'“ Evidence created to build the case for the importance and value of childcare '“ to business, the economy and women's economic empowerment
- **Quality Jobs for Women **'“ Private sector and government partners progress strategies and initiatives to increase quality jobs for women
- **Impactful Capital**:

- A significant increase in gender lens investing (GLI) in target countries

**About the Opportunity**

IW's Knowledge Management function is an integral part of enabling the program to effectively share knowledge, lessons learned and best practices to achieve IW's goals and support IW's thought leadership. The position sits within IW's Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) team and works closely with the program's communications team.

An overarching IW Knowledge Management and Communications Strategy will be developed by September 2023 and updated annually. The Knowledge Manager is expected to input into the strategy and play a key role in ensuring its effective implementation.

Reporting to the Research and Learning Lead, the Knowledge Manager works across the IW workstreams and MERL to build and disseminate the knowledge and evidence base for Workplace Gender Equality (WGE), Influencing Gender Norms (IGN), Gender-lens Investing (GLI) and broader issues around women's economic empowerment in Southeast Asia. This will include developing a range of knowledge products to suit the program's needs and purposes and supporting their dissemination internally and externally in collaboration with IW Communications.

The role will also support the migration of IW's online repository of resources and knowledge products (the current 'œKnowledge Hub'
- ) to a new online platform, fit-for-purpose to strengthen knowledge sharing and access to key resources by the IW team, partners and the broader public. As agreed with IW Communications, the Knowledge Manager will be support the ongoing maintenance and updating of the new platform.

Specifically, the **Knowledge Manager **will:

- Create a strong link between IW's MERL, Knowledge Management and Communications functions, and IW workstreams, to inform program implementation and ensure insights and learning from the program are captured and contribute to a regional and global body of expertise and knowledge.
- Working closely with the IW Workstreams, MERL and Communications, curate, produce and disseminate a wide range of knowledge products tailored to different target audiences and purposes to engage partners, local actors and stakeholders as well as the broader public in advancing IW's program objectives. Ensure these are available on IW's online platform and support their effective dissemination by IW Communications.
