**What the day will look like**

As a Treasury Officer you will be responsible for working within a team of three, reporting to the Head of Treasury for Aon Reinsurance.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the receipting and allocation of funds received from reinsurers/insurers across Australia and New Zealand
- Managing the oversight of the disbursement creation and preparation process
- Daily cash book maintenance and reconciliation maintenance
- Review of ledger balances and reconciliations
- Updating of contact details and banking instructions
- As required you’ll be involved in month end procedures, system testing and upgrades, credit control, complex interest calculations and other ad hoc duties.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

This role will suit someone who is wishing to further their career and looking for future development opportunities in a global organisation. Other key skills that lead to success include:

- Background in general accounts/ bookkeeping or an Accountant who would like to move away from a traditional accounting practice
- Flexibility and being able to work closely as part of a team supporting each other are the key elements as is liaising with teams across the division
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in IT and the ability to work across multiple systems
- High level of integrity for dealing with sensitive information
- Experience in reinsurance or insurance would be advantageous, but not essential
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel including (pivot tables, vlookups and formulae) would be advantageous
