**About the role**

Rio Tinto Procurement provides supply chain services that deliver value to the Rio Tinto Group through the strategic sourcing of goods and services for all operations and businesses. Value is enabled through close collaboration with business unit stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of requirements, and then delivered through uniformed processes, e-technology, increased corporate social responsibility and measurable value delivery for the Rio Tinto Group.

We are looking for a PMO Analyst to provide technical capability in maintaining and continuing to improve Rio Tinto Procurement (RTP) procurement reporting dashboards and provide analytical support, upskilling and co-ordination of procurement activities aimed at delivering value and business improvements. This role supports both local and global category procurement teams and is responsible in highlighting accurate insights. These insights are used to drive strategic initiatives, find inefficiencies and are an essential enabler to drive both standardisation and an effective interface between the business partnering and category management procurement teams.

This role is a great opportunity for an analytical, Power BI system savvy, data analyst who has good stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen. This role will suit an individual who wants to work collaboratively in understanding stakeholder requirements, has a bias to problem solve and the technical skillset to enable co-designed and timely delivery of solutions.

The role involves a mix of reporting, delivering and embedding system solutions. These system solutions will require working with existing and or working closely with our technical procurement analytics team to co-create new data sets and tools. These system solutions will deliver process improvements and or best practice data visualizations providing actionable insights and metrics to our procurement teams.

Reporting to the Principal Advisor - Procurement, you will:

- Design, develop and improve procurement reporting dashboards through Power BI dashboards and other system solutions
- Work in a dynamic environment continually engaging stakeholders across all levels to build a high level of trust through open and transparent relationships
- Lead and support initiatives aimed at optimising our existing data sets to enable higher level decision making
- Lead and work collaboratively with other analysts (across Rio Tinto) and the Data Analytics team to continuously improve performance metric dashboards in PowerBi. Using your depth of knowledge in understanding the interconnection between the underlying data models or data sources and front facing dashboards to identify data driven insights
- Lead meetings and provide ongoing oversight, support and tracking of initiatives driving progress within the cohort
- Provide analytical support to procurement business partners and category teams to assist in reporting on spend and contract data
- Provide support on assessing and remediating the quality of procurement data
- Upskill and provide regular training & guidance to procurement team members in Rio Tinto’s internal reporting systems
- Managing regular reports to procurement’s stakeholders
- Liaising with functional stakeholders across Finance, Business Transformation, Product Groups and global procurement network to align methodologies for our annual targets and procurement priorities
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and procurement activity support as required

**What you’ll bring**

**To be successfully considered for this role, you will have**:

- Recent experience as a Data Analyst or Reporting Specialist with a high level of proficiency in PowerBI dashboard creation and customisation
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large complex datasets to provide usable insights
- A degree qualification in a technical or commercial discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science or related field is preferred but not essential
- Experience with integrated data lakes and data warehousing systems
- Knowledge of data visualization principles and techniques to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams
- Good commercial acumen and strong analytical ability
- Experience from a procurement background is preferred but not essential
