**About the role**
As Supervisor, you will be part of the Open Space team, and will be responsible for the development and execution of horticultural program maintenance. Your main focus will be on Council’s parks, sportsgrounds and roadside vegetation within the designated responsibility.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Formulate and implement park, irrigation, and horticultural maintenance programs
- Co-ordinate work teams, contractors, materials, and machinery in relation to these programs and other parkland development projects
- Implement minor landscaping projects and assist with open space access maintenance as required
- Plan, produce and implement work schedules
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Current ACDC Licence (or be able to obtain within six months of appointment)
To undertake this position, you will need to be immunised against Q Fever:
- If you have already been immunised, you will be required to provide your immunisation certification/certificate
- If you are not already immunised, you will need to undertake this immunisation and provide certification prior to commencing this role.
Respiratory Protection Equipment
- Workers must pass a respirator fit test before they start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment.
- Workers must be clean shaven or only have facial hair that doesn’t interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator.
A pre employment medical will be required for this role (including Drug and Alcohol testing)

This is a full-time position with salary commencing at LGE Level 8 - $69,604 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
