Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Category & Channel Strategy Lead to work within our Oral and Wellness portfolios across ANZ, to lead strategic initiatives and drive growth and shape the future of our products. With a keen eye for innovation, you’ll shape category strategies that resonate with consumers and inspire teams to achieve their best
Your day to day includes developing and executing category strategies that drive our brand forward. Your expertise in leveraging data and consumer insights will help us understand market dynamics, identify growth opportunities, and anticipate shifts in consumer behaviour. You’ll lead and collaborate with a talented team of three direct reports, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Category Strategy: Craft and execute category strategies that align with our business objectives and drive sustainable growth. You’ll use data analytics and market insights to make informed decisions on product positioning, pricing, and promotions.
- Harness Consumer Insights: Analyse market trends and consumer behaviours, using data-driven insights to influence our category strategy and shape product launches. Your ability to forecast trends will help us stay ahead of the curve and continue meeting consumer and customer needs.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain to develop cohesive strategies that drive category performance and align with business goals.
- Lead a High-Performing Team: Inspire, mentor, and lead your team to deliver insights, execute powerful brand activations, and drive category success. You’ll empower your direct reports to excel in their roles, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Skills & Experience
- Category & Channel Strategy Manager/Category Manager/Category Development Manager experience.
- Experience within FMCG/FMCG
- Previous experience in driving commercial alignment & executing initiatives with sales teams or customers.
- Strong direct people management skills as well as managing cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of Australian consumer healthcare marketplace and key categories/channels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to plan effectively with strong attention to detail.
- Tertiary degree in business, management, or another relevant field preferred
