Briefings Officer (Full Time, Ongoing)
The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our organisation as a Briefings Officer within Briefings Services division.
Reporting to the Manager, Briefing Services, the Briefings Officer is responsible for providing support services to the Briefings team.
About the Role:
- Deliver high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Under direction maintain accurate barristers' contracts and financial records, review invoices for payment.
- Assist with general re-briefing of counsel in hearings.
- Update and maintain case lists for Weekly Reports, briefing counsel, and Counsel Allocation Meetings.
- Knowledge of case management systems, particularly the Prosecution Recording Information System Management, would be highly regarded.
- Sound communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence relevant stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in an environment of change, often with competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate written correspondence, reports and other relevant documentation.
