**About the role**:
As an Intelligence Analyst embedded in the Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit (SIIU), you will provide tactical and operational intelligence to support high-level sporting integrity investigations, identify and develop leads and targets, and identify emerging patterns and trends regarding threats to the integrity of sporting contests. In this position, you will report to a Sergeant Analyst as a member of the Organised Crime Intelligence Unit (OCIU) Analytical Support Team.

SIIU sits alongside OCIU within the State intelligence division, Intelligence and Covert Support Command.***

**Your duties will include**:

- Provision of tactical and operational intelligence support to SIIU investigations.
- Development of tactical and operational intelligence products through the collection, evaluation, collation, and analysis of information.
- Identification and assessment of individuals or groups who pose a threat to the integrity of sporting contests.
- Identification and evaluation of emerging patterns and trends regarding threats to the integrity of sporting contests.
- Engagement with internal and external stakeholders including sporting organisations, racing codes, and wagering services providers as well as other law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

**About You**:

- Experience in the field of intelligence analysis or similar.
- An analytical and curious mind with the ability to think critically.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to plan and organise work.
- Confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work in a team but also independently when required.
- Subject matter expertise regarding sport and/or wagering industries will be well regarded.

**Further Information**:

- One (1) x full-time, fixed-term position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
