**What you'll be doing**:
As part of the clinical and operational leadership team of the Child and Family Counselling in Primary Care and Community Health. The counselling service manages an extremely high volume of referrals servicing a wide demographic within our Local Health District.
The successful incumbent will be required to clinically support the team in relation to complex Domestic and Family Violence referrals in combination with a wide range of other vulnerabilities and presentations. This includes collaborating with key partners to deliver integrated and seamless care. In this role, you will ensure the oversight and provision of the early referral management process (ERMP) and clinical support within the team including consultation and supervision as well as a small counselling case load of complex clients. Part of this role will be responsible, with the team seniors, for the management, leadership, supervision, planning, implementation, evaluation, quality improvement and reporting for the Psychosocial Counselling team.
The role requires the provision of a specialist high quality Psychosocial service including comprehensive assessments and a range of therapeutic interventions for clients of the Psychosocial Counselling team, including casework, advocacy, counselling, group work, consultation, early intervention and community development. This position will work within a dedicated interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality care in a dynamic team environment. As a senior clinician, the social worker/psychologist is required to demonstrate clinical specialty, provide supervision and clinical leadership within the team. The position has extensive specialist knowledge and demonstrates advanced clinical reasoning to provide a clinical service of complex nature in conjunction with ongoing consultative support and collaborative interventions with staff.
