Here at Justice Health NSW, the Drug and Alcohol Clinician will provide evidence-based therapeutic drug and alcohol interventions to patients in a custodial setting through the planning and delivery of CBT based group programs and through supporting the delivery of best practice brief interventions within a clinical setting. The D and A clinician will employ professional judgment to solve routine problems and guide the implementation of D and A therapeutic programs at in correctional centre, more complex and critical tasks will escalated to more senior staff member. The position will assist in the development of relevant procedures and standards and for the D and A therapeutic programs and participate in quality improvement activities

The first step is to submit your resume and your answers to the following selection criteria:

- A bachelor or post graduate degree and professional registration/membership in the following: Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist (AHPRA registration); relevant tertiary bachelor or post graduate qualification in a relevant Allied Health discipline (psychology, social work, occupational therapy, counselling). Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or where this is not available, eligibility for membership to the relevant professional association.
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in identified profession.
- Experience and skills in the delivery of evidence-based group programs
- Demonstrated high level communication (written, electronic and verbal), interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective partnerships with and provide specialist consultation to a range of key stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation
- Hold current NSW Drivers Licence and will to travel for work purposes.
