**What you will be doing**:

- An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Mental Health Clinician to join the team at Penrith community Health Centre in a Temporary Full Time Position. This position, as part of a multidisciplinary team, is responsible for the delivery of a range of services to children, families and primary schools involved with the Got It (Getting on Track in Time) program.
- Got It is a school based mental health early intervention service for children in Kindergarten to Year 2 who display disruptive behaviours and emerging conduct disorders. The service aims to increase the social and emotional skills of children, families and schools to prevent mental illness later in life, improve educational outcomes and enhance family cohesion.
- Services provided include the delivery of social and emotional learning groups for children and parenting programs for their parents/carers. The clinician will liaise and work closely with educational staff to provide practical support, education, and direction to classroom teachers.
- Got it will provide opportunities for partnering with local services including multicultural services, Family and Community Services, Community Health agencies, Child and Youth Mental Health Services and family support services.
- Got It Is aligned to the NSW School Link initiative. The program is informed by the CAMHS and Schools Early Action (CASEA) program first piloted in Victoria in 2004

**Selection Criteria to be Addressed**:

- Recognised tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social work, Occupational therapy, with current registration with AHPRA (psychology/occupational therapy) or eligibility for membership of AASW.
- Experience providing assessment and intervention to children and their families presenting with mental health needs using evidence based approaches.
- Experience and skill in developing, implementing, and evaluating group programs.
- High level of interpersonal skills and commitment to working closely with other members of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to and skill in working collaboratively and systemically with a range of key stakeholders.
- Out of hours availability to run groups during school term weekdays is required.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
