Evolution has built a strong reputation in the hospitality, events and tourism industry over the past 16 years. We are a dual-sector English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS), Vocational Education and Training (VET) CRICOS registered training organisation.
The Sydney campus is located within the heart of the central business district and is a hub of activity, offering excellent Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses including Culinary, Event Management, Travel & Tourism and Hotel & Restaurant Management, attended by international and local students through various National programs.
Evolution provides a modern learning environment that encourages growth, allows for diversity and embeds skills and knowledge for industry professionals of today and tomorrow. The aim is to be at the forefront in Education, setting the benchmark for the International and Domestic training sectors.
**About the role**:
We are looking to appoint an accounts administrator, where your primary focus is administration of debt management, accounts payable/receivable process.
You will be an excellent and positive communicator who is able to deal with a diverse range of students and fellow employees alike. Evolution is a student centric organisation, and the role requires you to build strong relationships with the student community.
You will be working 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Reconciling daily banking and EFTPOS transactions
- Invoice processing and payment
- Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reporting in MYOB
- General accounting & finance duties
- Credit card reconciliation for corporate accounts
- Liaising with students and agents concerning payment plans and debtors
- Maintain efficient operations by adhering to policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
- Process documents and reports by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies or returning incomplete documents to stakeholders for resolution
- Contribute to team and organisational goals, by accomplishing results in efficient and expect timelines
- Issuing Tax Invoices for the students in Monthly and Quarterly
- Performing Bank Reconciliations
**Experience**
- Must hold a qualification in accounting at a bachelor level or higher.
- Previous accounts administrator experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Previous experience in a similar role (Highly desired, not essential)
- Experience using MYOB.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding Attention to detail
- Strong relationship engagement
- Self-management skills to work autonomously
- Be proactive and motivated to take on a varied workload and meet deadlines
**This role requires**:
