Melbourne, Australia Monash Health Full time

Location: Melbourne | Eastern Metropolitan

Job type: Full time

Organisation: Monash Health

**Salary**: Salary not specified

Occupation: Health and Allied Health, Medical

Working in community health has never been more important or meaningful. Be part of a community service that is embedding evidence-based practice and providing outstanding clinical care.

**Our journey**

It is a very exciting time to work in aged care, with aged care reforms putting older Australians first, improving quality, safety and choice in aged care.

The Aged and Community Care (ACC) Program at Monash Health provides a multidisciplinary service to support older adults in our community. The program aims to keep the client independent within their community, proactively promoting health, wellbeing, and self-management whilst assisting with timely interventions to prevent deterioration of the condition, and admission to hospital or residential care.

We now have an excellent opportunity for a motivated Allied Health professional to join us in a leadership role at the forefront of some change as we further develop and refine our service offering. This is a Grade 3 position based in Dandenong and working full time hours Monday - Friday.

**A day in the life**:
This Grade 3 Team Leader role will suit an enthusiastic, dynamic and skilled clinician, keen to take responsibility for leading a multidisciplinary group to provide best practice client care while also maximising operational effectiveness.

Personally holding a small caseload will keep you in touch with our client group and ensure you retain your finely honed clinical skills.

**About You**:

- You lead by example and you thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- You are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence-based care to clients
- You have already developed leadership skills, either in a formal sense or informally through mentoring and/or coaching
- You are ready to take the next step in your career
- You are enthusiastic, compassionate, and able to work collaboratively
- You demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills
- You are excited to be accountable for managing portfolios in our relentless pursuit of excellence

What you need:
To be considered we'll need you to have:

- Bachelor's degree in an allied health discipline (or equivalent qualification)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (where applicable)
- Demonstrated clinical and leadership experience
- Current driver's licence
- Post graduate qualifications (or working towards) in Gerontology, Leadership/Management or other relevant to the role, and active research projects will be highly regarded.

While the position is based at Dandenong, travel to and work at any Monash Health site may be required.

Monash Health is a great place to work

This is a unique opportunity to join our large, friendly community-based team. We will provide a fast paced, dynamic environment that is dedicated to safe best practice and passionate about looking after older members in our community. You'll enjoy the ability to accrue one day off each four weeks and we can accommodate a hybrid working model, enabling you to work from home up to one day each week.

Our employees enjoy a range of benefits including:

- a wide variety of learning and career development opportunities
- salary packaging options that increase your take-home pay
- a comprehensive Health and Wellbeing program
- reward and recognition program
- strong support from Industry superannuation funds
- free flu vaccinations
- private health insurance benefits at discounted rates
- health imaging services
- travel clinic

By joining Victoria's largest public health service, you'll be part of a team of over 22,000 people, who proudly provide healthcare to one quarter of Melbourne’s population, across the entire lifespan from newborn and children, to adults, the elderly, their families and carers. We have over 40 care locations across south eastern Melbourne, including Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Kingston Centre, Cranbourne Centre, and an extensive network of rehabilitation, aged care, community health and mental health facilities.

We are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and work to our six guiding principles and ICare values.
