**An Opportunity**

Luther College seeks to appoint a talented human resource (HR) professional to fulfill the role of People and Culture Officer, providing HR support to the Director of People and Culture and assisting in delivering the college’s people strategy in a fast-paced environment. This an ongoing, full-time position where no two days are the same, commencing ASAP.

The People and Culture Officer will work collaboratively with all members of the People and Culture team and Principal’s office, performing HR activities across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on the administration of recruitment, selection and onboarding, employment correspondence and payroll, data and records management, systems maintenance, employee compliance, performance appraisal, professional development and maintaining training records. In addition to these duties the People and Culture Officer will provide general employee and industrial relations advice and answer payroll queries under the guidance of the Director of People and Culture.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.15am - 4.00pm.

**About You**

You are an aspiring HR professional seeking the next step in your developing career. A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills, you are aware of your impact on all community members and intuitively adjust your style to meet cultural and stakeholder needs.

Ideally you hold an undergraduate qualification in business, HR or a related discipline, or are on your way to attaining the qualification.
