Eden Ritchie is seeking a A05 Finance Officer to deliver an effective financial management accounting support and advice to management and staff inthe department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Delivering effective financial and management accounting support and advice to management and staff while meeting the department commitments.
- Supervising and coordinating a high performing Finance team in the delivery of professional and responsive financial services and support to management and staff. This includes overseeing the day to day workflows of the team, delivering on key service objectives and organisational priorities
- Providing recommendations and assistance relating to financial management, including delegations, project costing, cash flow forecasting, status reporting and general financial administration. This includes assisting the Lead, Finance in the development of the departments budgets and preparation of timely and accurate financial reports to senior management
- Advising managers in the forecasting of approved cost centre budgets and cashflow forecasts. This includes loading, balancing and reconciling cash flows on the Finance One system and undertaking ongoing adjustments as required
- Investigating internal and external client financial queries and complaints, and liaising with the department's shared service provider and other external organisations to resolve issues
- Facilitating financial management, internal control and corporate governance of the organisation through the development and provision of training and advice to management in relation to budgetary and financial issues
- Ensuring that outsourced financial services are fulfilled as per agreed standards and timeframes. This includes liaising and building a strong working relationship with State Library’s shared service provider
- Participating in internal committees, projects and working groups while collaborating with other teams across the department. This includes providing high quality internal and external stakeholder engagement, including liaising with the departments shared service provider to investigate and resolve client financial queries and ensure agreements terms are fulfilled
- Contributing to business improvement activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and guidelines meet best practice and the department's requirements. This includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions
- Working effectively with colleagues and peers while contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the Finance, Facilities and Administration branch
- Participating in, contributing to and/or managing financial, human resource and/or ICT responsibilities as per the organisational delegations
