Here at the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) we have an opportunity for two Intelligence Analysts, to join the Intelligence and Insights team and provide high level intelligence and reporting capability to the Regulatory Services division and its stakeholders. The people we are looking for will have strong communication, intelligence, and critical thinking skills along with the ability to tell a story with data. Ideally, the individuals will be data literate and capable of preparing analytic, operational, tactical, and strategic reports as well as briefs and information packs. **The opportunity**

Reporting to the Principal Intelligence Analyst, this role is responsible for the collection and dissemination of gambling information acquired by VGCCC, identifying, and evaluating emerging gambling trends, including analysis work in relation to anti-money laundering (AML). Outcomes of this work include providing recommendations that have a focus on harm minimisation which are based on data driven assessments that are underpinned by quantitative, qualitative, and statistically based reports. The Intelligence Analyst as part of their role is also expected to prepare high calibre and insightful briefs for senior management and key stakeholders. As such the Intelligence Analyst is required to have strong communication skills, with an ability to effectively engage different audience groups with exceptional written material and in-person presentations.

**Key responsibilities**
- Prepare high calibre reports, briefs and information products that inform activity occurring within the gambling undustry.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitive information to identify any suspicious patterns, within regulated entities in the gambling industry.
- Assist with the planning, research and development of intelligence assessments and prepare complex reports, including analysis papers, project proposals and briefings to senior management.
- Engage with key internal and external SME's on matters associated with gambling and AML to ensure the adequate regulatory response is implemented and key knowledge on such matters is retained within the VGCCC.
- Contribute to team objectives and support team members to achieve common and individual goals whilst also contributing to build a supportive, inclusive, and positive team culture based on mutual trust and respect.
