- The role will cover all RTIO Resource Development areas in the PIlbaraand is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off, day shift only roster FIFO from Perth

**About the role**

You will be responsible for identifying and setting actions to rectify non-conformances found during drill rig inspections.

The role will require with travel required across the Pilbara as well as visiting contract partner premises in Perth or Pilbara centres.
- Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance to safety standards and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct assurance activities
- Champion leadership in the field (LIF) including Critical Risk Management (CRM)
- Manage their own schedule and work autonomously
- Have well-developed stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- A passion for exploration drilling industry innovation
- A current Manual C-class WA Driver’s license

Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years as a Drill Fitter or in a similar position within the mining industry.
- Recognised certification in Mechanical or Diesel Fitting.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing drilling equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A good level of computer literacy

Relevant Experience
- Working with high pressure air and complex hydraulic (pneumatic) systems
- Expert knowledge and experience with a wide range of drills.
- Experience in the delivery of technical training to maintenance personnel and operators.
- A strong awareness of Australian Standards and industry leading practice.
- Awareness of functional safety
- Awareness of non-destructive testing requirements

**Where you’ll be working**

The role will be based across our Greater Nammuldi / Brockman region.

Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.
