**ABOUT THE OFFICE**

Vocational Education and Training (VET) at the University provides students with the skills they need to thrive. We provide career preparation and formal qualifications to specialise in a certain area of work, to make a career change or as a pathway into higher education through the UNDA Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Our programs are flexible and structured so students can learn online, on-campus and in the field.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is responsible for effective oversight, coordination, support and advice on the development, implementation delivery and evaluation of Vocational Education Training (VET) Education courses.

The position is also responsible for administration and resources associated with the Education programs conducted by VET across UNDA Campuses and supports the Operations Manager and Director & CEO to identify and grow new and existing programs while nurturing relationships with the community and education sector to increase uptake.

The successful applicant will be required to:

- Provide expert advice on VET Education qualifications as the discipline leader and oversees the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Education Support program, ensuring that VET programs are consistent and compliant with VET Quality Framework and standards.
- Coaches and mentor's direct reports and undertakes performance and development reviews of the direct reports to promote a highly engaged, positive and effective workplace culture.
- Initiate and foster professional relationships and networks within the University community and with external stakeholders, professional and community organisations and clients.
- Keep abreast of changes in the direction and approach to administrative and operational policies and procedures across the VET industry to implement quality and risk management processes.
- Engage with industry to assist with program design and review.
- Contribute to the training and assessment delivery of VET courses, by providing ad hoc support and backfill.
- Delivering teaching and conduct of tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions and clinical sessions, including associated marking and assessments.

**ABOUT YOU**
- A minimum of a tertiary qualification in Education with relevant experience in industry relevant to your qualification.
- Be registered with a relevant professional body.
- A TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be willing to complete as part of their employment.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct training needs analysis, design capability frameworks and develop training programs within a university or tertiary environment would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience of working within of the current standards of RTO requirements.
- Previous experience working in an RTO and/or VET administration.
- Advanced understanding of VET delivery and RTO compliance and funding requirements and an understanding of the Australian training environment including Training.
