As the Work Health and Safety Business Partner for this Local Council you’ll partner with the organisation to deliver high quality Workplace Health & Safety services that meet legislative, best practice and organisational requirements. Think Library, Aquatics Centres, Administration, Waste Divisions & Infrastructure Teams.

The environment and stakeholders are varied; thus a flexible, adaptable and critical thinker will be perfect for this role

You’ll be the ‘go to” person for all things safety and are there to encourage and build relationships with all stakeholders to drive safety progression in the workplace.

**About you**
Your ability to build relationships with different stakeholders is next to none and is the most important part of this role. You’re a critical thinker who can assess different risk tolerances and you have the capacity to use the knowledge you have and transfer it to an environment you may not have worked in.
- Degree qualifications in Work Health & Safety or an equivalent combination of relevant contemporary industry experience and/or education/training.
- Ability to lead the investigation of incidents and recommend and implement preventative actions.
- Promote a safe workplace culture by supporting and coaching employees to make safe behavioural choices.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and influencing skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels within the organisation.
