Event Coordinator at Fashion Thrift Society

With a strong presence in Australia and expanding in the UK, we are seeking a talented and passionate Traveling Events Coordinator to join our team. **Position Overview**:
The Travelling Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing operational aspects of Fashion Thrift Society events, including setup, execution and pack-down. This role requires travel on weekends (Saturday and Sundays) to various event locations, with event setup the day before and coordinating the event on the day..
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and execute event setup, including bump-in and pack-down activities.
- Participate in operational roles during events, ensuring smooth execution and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Engage with event attendees, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Enforce direction and action among event staff and vendors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of events during office days, including logistics coordination, vendor communication and administrative tasks.
**Requirements**:
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MARKETING.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN EVENT COORDINATION.
- Melbourne-based with the ability to work from the Brunswick office.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with loud crowds and enforce direction effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a proactive approach to addressing attendee needs.
- Previous experience in event coordination, preferably with large-scale events.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Outgoing personality with a confident and authoritative demeanour.
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional weekdays for pre-event preparations.
- Willingness to travel to event locations, with all travel expenses covered.
- Must be available for a 3-month probation period to assess suitability for the role.
**Work Schedule**:
- Full-time position
- Weekend travel required (Saturday and Sunday) for event coordination
- Roster may vary based on event schedule and market dates.
