Our client is a successful privately owned engineering group with a proven track record of delivering bespoke / turn-key engineering solutions throughout Australia. This includes working extensively in the energy and manufacturing sectors with blue-chip clients. The business is experiencing significant growth and has been able to increase its average project value and overall technical capability significantly in recent years.

**The Job**:
As a critical member of the leadership team, the Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing steel fabrication and assembly within a modern workshop environment. Specific duties will include:

- Lead and manage the manufacturing and production operations, ensuring efficient and effective steel fabrication and assembly processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise production efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Maintain quality control procedures and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high-performance.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing process improvement initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of ISO quality standards and experience in maintaining compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Already local or willing to relocate to the Tumut region permanently.
