The Data and Analytics Manager will drive the implementation of the data and analytics strategy, unlocking data potential, driving evidence-based decision making and enabling detailed performance monitoring against strategic targets. This ‘hands-on’ role requires a creative, proactive, agile and strategic leader who is passionate about the effective use of data to inform decision making and has the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to design, test and implement data and reporting solutions.

The role requires a high level of analytical and visualisation skills and a good knowledge of data wrangling approaches and data warehouse development, working closely with data and system specialists. Success in this role will depend on the ability to build relationships across the business connecting both technical and non-technical resources and directing attention to measures that have the greatest impact. High levels of business partnering and adoption of co-design practices for key metrics development will ensure fit for purpose solutions.

Your key accountabilities will include but is not limited to:

- Implementation of the data and analytics strategy and the strategic design and quality of organisational performance reporting systems.
- Supporting the development and implementation of a single view of data and single source of truth, providing simple, relevant and actionable performance measures for all departments.
- Working collaboratively with managers and the executive team to design, test and implement data and reporting solutions including the development of targets.
- Ensuring data integrity and high levels of data quality are achieved for all metrics produced within the program of works.
- Managing and coordinating the Data Governance Committee and the Data Stewards Working Group, ensuring key linkages between the two governance groups, ensuring priorities and key actions are allocated to members and achieved within reasonable timeframes, escalating key decision points and recommendations to the committee.
- Implementing co-design practices with managers and executives when developing key metrics, collaborating with data and system specialists to implement design requirements within system capabilities.
- Acting as a key business contact for executive and manager user training post initial training workshops.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will be degree qualified in data and analytics, accounting, business or related discipline and have substantial experience in data, analytics and performance management. CPA/CA or equivalent post graduate course is desirable.

Essential will be your extensive experience in data and analytics, driving performance across an organisation with the ability to undertake analysis of key drivers to develop practical solutions, models or performance reports based on data and evidence.

You will also have significant experience with complex business systems and advanced knowledge of business intelligence or analytics tools and data visualisation.

Crucial to your success will be your skills in partnering with the business to develop, review and analyse actual performance to target, including the establishment of targets and your proven record of developing innovative solutions and practical implementations for strategic change through the use of data, analytics and reporting.

Your experience delivering large projects including the ability to influence at a strategic level, your agility, being able to switch from strategic conceptualisation to a highly technical and thoroughly detailed mind set to turn broad instructions into tangible and usable insight will be key, as will your financial modelling skills, high level written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and strong interpersonal skills. Experience in Power BI or Tableau, Alteryx or similar analytics software is desirable
