The Careers Programs Manager will work closely with the Director - Career Accelerator & Student Engagement, Courtney Wright to lead our work integrated learning (WIL) and experiential learning for the faculty, including responsibility for our suite of WIL courses and Business experiences across both online and in person (domestic and international) delivery, and facilitation of major case competition and hackathons, among other responsibilities. Be part of an established Career Accelerator (CA) team responsible more broadly for career development learning, WIL, student engagement and industry relationships on behalf of the Business School and AGSM. The Career Programs Manager role collaborates closely with the Career Accelerator Manager group, and reports to the Director, to achieve all of this at scale while ensuring a positive student experience throughout.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:
**Level 8**
- Working with the Engagement Manager, Operations Manager and Career Education Manager, lead the delivery of integrated onshore and offshore activities, experiences and resources that provide UNSW Business School and AGSM students with standardised and consistent WIL opportunities.
- Ensure integrated onshore and offshore WIL activities and operations are delivered with appropriate and effective resource planning for students, staff and industry partners.
- Design, manage and lead the operational strategy and planning for Business School and AGSM WIL preparation and placement services aligned with University strategy and protocol.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and lead strategies for continuous improvement, implementing and integrating solutions into relevant processes, including changes to systems, policies, procedures and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with relevant teams to manage the provision of existing and new student-facing opportunities (mentoring and internships, leadership and development, international education and practicums, student case competitions).
- Build awareness of WIL initiatives to inform prospective and current students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, academic and professional staff with partners in the Division of External Engagement (DEE) and work closely with the Communications Officer.
**Level 9 (in addition to the Level 8 above)**
- Strong business acumen and a demonstrated capability to identify and deliver high level support required in the achievement of business objectives.
- Identify and support the design of new student offerings in both the Program and Career Education spaces, taking into account faculty strategic objectives and industry feedback in collaboration with the Career Accelerator Management team
- Leverage technology and process improvements to significantly scale WIL and co-curricular experiential offerings across the Business School
- Proactively lead and manage adherence to UNSW governance pathways to ensure projects are managed within a defined, consistent and proven set of rules for project development and implementation.
- Provide strategic direction in leading key projects, while engaging key stakeholders, monitoring and reporting on progress, and identify problems and propose possible solutions.
- Pursue opportunities to collaborate across faculties and with central UNSW divisions in delivery and development of partnered initiatives (e.g. case competitions, WIL courses)
**Skills and Experience**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge, gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated experience and success in program management with successful experience leading the development and delivery of programmatic content in a university or equivalent environment, with industry partners.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and problem solving with the ability to resolve and address issues as they arise.
