The International and Engagement portfolio is responsible for RMIT’s international strategy and agenda, including international development and partnerships and oversight of our international operations including RMIT Vietnam and RMIT Europe. It also incorporates the University’s key engagement functions including communications, experience (global marketing, global student recruitment, alumni), and business development and partnerships

About the role

The Assistant Director, Student Recruitment (Australia) (AD), has overall responsibility for leading the Australia Student Recruitment team and driving the development and implementation of recruitment strategies in Australia that ensure enrolment targets are achieved. In addition to leadership, the AD is required to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to assist in the development of strategic initiatives to increase RMIT University’s profile and market share.
- The Assistant Director, Student Recruitment (Australia) will work across the Experience Portfolio; other parts of the University and with RMIT’s school networks, agents in Australia, and partners to ensure recruitment activities are coordinated and aligned with the University’s strategy. Furthermore, this position will undertake efficient and effective management of the human, financial and physical resources of the recruitment team, including a balanced group budget that meets the University’s financial management requirements.

This role reports directly to the Director, Global Student Recruitment at RMIT.

To be successful in this position you will ideally have:
Post graduate qualification or extensive relevant experience gained through working in a large corporate or consulting environment.-
- Experience in influencing, developing and implementing policy, ensuring adherence to organisation guidelines and/or government legislation-
- Proven experience in developing and successfully implementing student recruitment strategies.-
- Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.-
- Highly developed diagnostic, analytical and conceptual skills to identify and drive creative solutions and practical implementation strategies.-
- Strong track record of managing human, financial and other resources, particularly developing, guiding and motivating teams.To Apply
