**About the role**

The Technical Assistant of Construction, Carpentry and Joinery is responsible for performing a range of activities to support education and training delivery including preparation of materials and equipment, assistance to teachers during practical class sessions, and the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds within the teaching section.

**Essential Requirements**
- A passion for the Construction Industry.
- Trade qualifications appropriate to the role and trades area and/or relevant industry experience.
- The ability to service, clean, repair and safely operate workshop machinery.
- An ability to maintain accurate records using various IT systems.
- A commitment to providing a quality customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work as a member of a team with mínimal supervision.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment the following:

- Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Forklift Licence
- If applicable, any other relevant licence or certification specific to the industry and essential to performance of the role.

**Highly desirable**
- Hold a Construction Trade qualification.
