**The opportunity**
At Vesparum, we help founders of high-growth, tech and tech-enabled Australian companies raise equity capital, with a focus on Series A and growth equity transactions. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills to join our Melbourne-based team as an Associate.

**The Role**
As an Associate, you will play a key leadership role in executing successful capital raising transactions for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the preparation of pitch materials and investor presentations for clients.
- Conducting in-depth company and market research.
- Building and reviewing detailed financial models.
- Preparing supporting materials for valuation negotiations.
- Taking on a lead role in negotiations to ensure that valuation and terms are optimised.
- Managing the due diligence process, including coordinating with external advisors as required.
- Leading meetings with clients, investors and other advisors.
- Taking full ownership of client relationships, progressively leading more complex engagements.
- Collaborating with our team and clients to ensure the best possible transaction outcomes.
- Supporting business development efforts, including networking with Australia’s growth equity community, meeting with potential clients and preparing proposals.

- Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have approximately 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance or a related field.
