As a pivotal member of the Safety & ESG leadership team, the Safety and Environment Manager plays a vital role in upholding GPC's commitment to safety, ethics, and sustainable practices. Your leadership will shape the culture and ensure that ethical conduct and stakeholder engagement are at the forefront of all decision-making processes.

Reporting into the Executive General Manager, Safety and ESG, your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the Safety and Environment portfolios within the Safety & ESG department, aligning with GPC's operational strategic plan and business objectives;
Infuse GPC's values within the portfolios through effective leadership, performance management, and development;
Lead the development and implementation of the safety and environment integrated strategy, and make improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of the teams services;
Drive safety and environmental initiatives, including the integration of the safety and environment management systems, performance monitoring, and auditing;
Collaborate with stakeholders, internally and externally, to embed safety and environment leadership capabilities;
Oversee key safety and environment projects and programs of work aligned with Corporate Plan commitments;
Provide advice and key insights through effective reporting on safety and environmental matters to the Executive Leadership Team; and

Foster a positive team culture based on trust, empowerment, and accountability, ensuring team members feel connected to GPC's shared success.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will be tertiary qualified in a related field, coupled with extensive experience in managing an integrated safety and environment function and a strong understanding of regulations and codes of practice.

You will have proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and inspire a sizeable team. You will be an exceptional communicator with highly effective stakeholder engagement at all levels of the business.

You will have demonstrated ability to drive culture change and foster inclusion. You will have a strategic mindset with a track record of implementing improvement strategies, driving key programs of work.
