About the role

Forming an integral part of the HSE team, as the HSE Graduate you will have the opportunity to work under the mentorship of the HSE Superintendent, while collaborating with the Discovery group and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our safety culture.

You will gain progressive operational experience in the core HSE functions including risk and incident management, safety systems & data analysis, audit assurance and occupational health. This is a great opportunity for graduates to put their academic education and existing work experience into practice. 

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, based in the Gold Road West Perth officer with the requirement to travel to regional projects with the exploration team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HSE support and guidance to infield leadership i
  • Support the HSE team with managing the ISO accredited Gold Road Health, Safety and Environment Management system.
  • Provide advice to the exploration team to ensure effective HSE knowledge and engagement across all functions. 
  • Assist with inspection and audit routines in line with Gold Road risk based monitoring methods. 

About yourself

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Formal Certificate IV (or Higher) qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
  • A Formal Environmental Qualification (desirable)
  • An openness and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A Passion to explore and capable of adapting to meet safety requirements.
  • A Current First Aid certificate
  • A Current manual drivers license.
