**About You**

As a Social Policy Officer your key responsibilities/qualifications and skills determining the key selection criteria comprise of but not limited to:

- Interpret emerging social issues and trends and providing advice and direction to the organisation, Council and other agencies.
- Support the development co-ordination and implementation, of strategic social planning matters relating to a range of social justice issues such as, gaming, liquor and social housing.
- To develop evidence-based research and decision-making tools (such as policies) for Council and Hume communities.
- Monitor social and other demographic data to identify and forecast trends and provide timely advice in response to social demographic change.
- Well-developed skills in managing time, setting priorities and working across multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and capacity to develop constructive relationships, negotiate outcomes and build effective working and partnerships and collaboration.
