About this role:

The Curriculum Administrator is responsible for administrative services relating to curriculum. The formatting and production of documentation and processes to support curriculum and management of data is a key component of the role. The role encompasses undertaking quality assurance, word processing, data management, document standardisation, report generation and other general administrative tasks providing direct support to the Director of Curriculum. The role encompasses skills in punctuality, data management, time management, communication and planning. The role will have a teaching component as well, depending on the successful candidate's teaching subjects. 

Job tasks and responsibilities:

The role of the Curriculum Administrator includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Assisting the Director of Curriculum with the administration of curriculum related matters.
  • Attending regular meetings with Head Teachers and Teacher and Learning Coordinators (TLC).
  • Overseeing curriculum meetings, attendances and minutes. 
  • Setting procedures for TLCs to monitor implementation of teaching programmes.
  • Setting templates for TLCs to collect and analyse internal and external assessment data.
  • Setting and monitoring subject selection process and the academic report process.
  • Managing the programme catalogue of the student information system.
  • Updating the timetable database for the student information system.
  • Setting and monitoring the teaching allotment data.
  • Overseeing assessment calendars.
  • Maintaining and overseeing the consistency and unity of subject planners.
  • Producing tutorials assisting curriculum team and teaching staff in curriculum related procedures.

  • Ability to have an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous capacity and collaboratively when required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative oriented skills.
  • Excellent IT proficiency in the use of school based software including but not limited to SEQTA and ProcessMaker.
  • Excellent IT proficiency in the use of productivity software including but not limited to Microsoft and Google with a focus on spreadsheets.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • High level of analytical skills.
  • Highly skilled in the use of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Able to document, implement and monitor and report on administrative procedures.
