The Program Reform Analytics Section is a new team sitting within Client Programs Branch. The Section’s purpose is to uplift Program Delivery Division’s data capability to ensure staff can effectively engage with data to produce useful insights and advice to inform the Division’s Reform Agenda.

Program Delivery Division encompasses multiple branches managing a range of health and community programs which promote early interventions, prevention and treatment for veterans and their families. Branches within the Division include:

- Client Programs - responsible for a number of health programs to assist all Veterans and their families manage their health and wellbeing to continue living independently.
- Mental and Social Health Programs - supports the development, planning, implementation and delivery of safe, evidence-based, client-centric, community and lived experience informed, community based mental health and well-being services and programs.
- Coordinated Client Support - manages a range of programs and services to assist our clients access supports to meet their health and wellbeing needs, such as access to mental health and social health programs as well as additional targeted assistance to navigate the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) services and link into other agencies’ programs, and
- Client Access and Rehabilitation Services - connects clients with the people and services they need to support their wellness journey.

Flexible work arrangements will be considered, including part-time hours.

**Duties**
- Work with data sets generated from a range of systems and sources to deliver high quality reports and contribute to Executive reports and ad hoc reporting.
- Interpret internal data sets and improving reporting outcomes through simplification and standardisation.
- Communicate, influence, and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide operational support and advice to colleagues.
- Convey a positive and professional image of DVA and modelling the expected behaviours, APS Code of Conduct and APS Values providing support to deliver departmental priorities.

**Eligibility**
- Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
- All applicants external to DVA offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre-engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance. The screening check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.

**Notes**

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 23 months.

A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
