**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role oversees the delivery of the mentor, interns and mid-career in accordance with Aurora’s strategy and funder agreements.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES_

**Program Promotion**
- Develop and manage promotional strategies with the goal of attracting high quality applicants with a focus on Indigenous applicants.
- Engage with Australian universities, professional bodies and Host organisations working in the Indigenous sector Australia-wide.
- Represent Aurora at Career Fairs and information sessions when required (including interstate travel)

**Internships (Recruitment, Selection & Placement)**
- Lead the end-to-end process for all internship and mid-career placements and opportunities.
- Oversee the support of interns pre, during and post-internships, to ensure interns achieve their learning objectives and fulfill internship obligations.

**Host Organisations (Recruitment, Onboarding & Managing)**
- Recruit and engage internship Host organisations working both in the Indigenous sector and more broadly, Australia-wide.
- Act as the central point of contact and/or manage the relationship between Aurora and Host Organisations.

**Mentor (Recruitment, Onboarding & Development)**
- Lead the recruitment of Indigenous Mentors for Aurora’s High School and RISE programs.
- Oversee the implementation of the Mentor Capability Development Framework including the development of an annual professional development program and individual Mentor development plans.
- Oversee the coordination of Mentor engagement across Aurora programs.
- Manage the operational plan and annual budgets for the Mentor Program.

**Program Support**
- Provide day-to-day operational and high-level administrative support to the Program/s.
- Oversee delegation of tasks to Pathways Facilitators.
- Act as key contact point for Indigenous interns and Mentors, alongside the Pathways Facilitators.
- Maintain and improve the Program’s resources for stakeholders.

**Quality Assurance**
- Take the lead on process improvement, in collaboration with the Pathways Facilitators.
- Regularly review accuracy and currency of database information.
- Oversee the use of the CRM, including data integrity and reporting.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- A demonstrated understanding of or capacity to learn about Indigenous histories, cultures, organisations and the issues facing Indigenous people in Australia meeting their aspirations for their communities and families.
- The ability to (or aptitude to learn) communicate effectively with Indigenous people, stakeholders and organisations.
- Solid understanding of the matters relating to Indigenous academic achievement at all levels - from primary to tertiary to post-graduate education
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain constructive relationships with a range of stakeholder including program participants and their families, corporations and government
- Demonstrated collaborative approach to working with internal stakeholders
- Project/Program Management experience is a must
- Adaptable in change and responsive to the shifting priorities and requirements of the organization.

**Other Requirements**
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory national police check
