Iron Mountain’s Professional Services organization is looking for a Senior Implementation Engineer who, as part of the Professional Services engineering team will design and develop content and records management applications that are built on Iron Mountain’s data platform, aid in design of content data architectures, RESTful integrations between Iron Mountain content platforms and customer systems, as well as other engineering work for our customers. In this role, you will balance your time between engaging with the customer to develop low level designs that resolve our functional designs, use cases and user stories, and implementing the design via your code. At times, you will lead conversations with our customers and implement the designs, while mentoring and supporting junior engineers implementing the designs. This is a fully technical role where your engineering, communication, and mentoring skills provide value for our customers and for our team. 

The ideal candidate for this role will consistently lead by example and be the change agent for our customers. You will combine your years of proven expertise with a drive to create innovative technology through solid engineering practices. You'll lead by designing and implementing to the highest standards, constantly understanding the difference between what technology our customers want vs. what technology they need to be successful, never afraid to say NO to our customers (or others) when needed.

The Responsibilities

Work directly with customers to understand requirements, which include functional, data, security, integration, and performance user journeys Write code daily that implements these requirements and user stories Set the tone by fostering teamwork, conveying the client's vision, and ensuring you adhere to best practices Work directly with the services engineering team to mature, revise and implement this work, showing pragmatism, creativity, discipline, and thought in your designs and code Help identify risks, assumptions, and mitigation strategies associated with the different elements of the engineering and implementation Provide an engineering viewpoint to project managers who develop project plans for our customers Assist in troubleshooting major issues encountered with the implementations Utilize design thinking methodologies and processes to facilitate development of solution design and architecture Provide feedback to Iron Mountain product management and core engineering team members on customers' needs for existing features, future roadmap items, or features developed by you or other team members Stay current on various ECM, RPA, cloud, container/ K8s, AI/ML, content services, and BPM practices/technologies Maintain and grow your subject matter expertise in API based system integrations, Java, .NET/C#, REST APIs, JavaScript, cloud NoSQL databases, indexing services, streaming and queuing services, and object stores Identify and communicate to DevOps and CloudOps volume and performance requirements needed to scale the cloud platform. Design and implement performance testing when needed Support and promote Iron Mountain core values

The Person

BA/BS/AB degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS/IT, or related STEM field, Requires 5 plus years in Software Engineering and delivery, preferably in an external client-facing implementation role, utilizing various SDLC methodologies Requires 5 plus years of experience in design and solution of complex enterprise applications 5 plus years agile SDLC experience: XP, scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.  Experience in delivering horizontally scaled solutions on public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS) Experience with digital content management, ECM, DAM, CSP, WCM, LMS, etc Business and Engineering fluency in English. Relevant industry experience in one or more of these industries: Financial services, insurance, or fintech Life sciences, pharma, or healthcare Engineering Public Sector Consumer products Media and Entertainment Understanding of enterprise solutions including networking, storage, hardware, and software layers Understanding of cloud technologies and solutions - GCP, AWS, Azure Understanding of Machine Learning and AI techniques, including use of trained models, cognitive services, open-source models and public ML API’s. Experience with packaging and deploying software for the cloud (docker containers / k8s) Experience with Identity Providers (IDPs) with SAML and oAuth2 based integrations Understanding of digital content management such as ECM, DAM, CSP, WCM, LMS systems Practical experience with one or more content management platforms: EnVision, Alfresco, OnBase, Documentum, FileNet, Content Manager, Content Manager on Demand, Nuxeo, Box, AEM, Oracle UCM, SharePoint, etc. Proficient in one or more of the following technologies/languages: Python .NET/C# Java (especially OSGI or Spring/Spring boot) Groovy Jenkins, JenkinsX or similar CI Code quality tools, e.g., Sonar sh/csh/bash/zsh REST APIs JSON/XML/CSS/HTML5 JavaScript, (especially Google Polymer, node, or vue) Experience in Kofax or other enterprise scanning technologies Experience with one or more cloud/enterprise indexing and search services, such as Solr, Lucene, or Elasticsearch Experience with one or more NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Couch, Cassandra, DocumentDB, Dynamo, CosmosDB, HBase, etc. Experience with one or more streaming/logging/queueing services, such as Apache Kafka, AMQP, Rabbit, ActiveMQ, etc. Ability to assist in the creation of conceptual, presentation, and technical drawings for all phases of the project Knowledge of microservices architecture and design Familiarity with Low-code / No-code platform engineering Familiarity with SaaS platform engineering Familiarity with BPM Solutions Architecture / Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Architect, TOGAF, ZACHMAN) is strongly desired, but not required.
