AC Hotel Melbourne is looking for a **Sales Manager** to join the team on a **Full-Time** basis.
**What we ask of you**
- Understanding the sales processes and market; Ability to bring a sale to closure, securing business with effective negotiation skills and creative selling abilities
- Partners with group and catering counterparts to effectively manage the business opportunity.
- Responds to the incoming group and catering opportunities for the property that are outside the parameters of the Event Booking Center
- Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of need time strategy as developed by Revenue Management.
- Knowledge of contractual agreements and legal implications.
- Knowledge of food trends, food and beverage composition and menu planning.
- A desire to innovate and create. Our guests come to experience a life less ordinary.
- A relevant University degree and/or 3 years relevant hospitality industry experience
**What you will do**
- Executing superior corporate events will strengthen customer loyalty and increase repeat business opportunities. Up selling of events will result in increased total event revenue.
- Careful and accurate forecasting and reporting of rooms and catering functions will allow for better revenue management and increased total hotel revenue.
- Prepare Event Management related documents throughout the planning process (e.g., banquet event orders, group confirmation lists, proforma invoices etc).
- Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.
- Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants).
- Rewards client through Marriott Rewards posting tool following Marriott SOP.
