**About the position**
Reporting to the Group Chief People Officer this **_Full Time, Maximum Term (12 months) position_** will manage The Wests Group Australia’s Talent & Capability functions, including overseeing the learning and recruitment teams. This is a key leadership role where you will drive strategic initiatives in talent management, compliance, and capability building, while managing a high-volume recruitment function. Daily duties and responsibilities include:
- Leading recruitment strategies and overseeing a high-volume recruitment function to meet the dynamic hiring needs of The Wests Group.
- Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the learning and recruitment team members to meet organisational goals.
- Embedding The Wests Group's Capability Framework and fostering a skills-driven culture across the organisation.
- Overseeing learning functions, including compliance, certification management, and the coordination of corporate inductions for new starters.
- Managing and developing strategic training initiatives, from planning and budgeting to execution and evaluation.
- Creating and monitoring complex reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborating with business leaders to design and deliver development opportunities for professional growth and compliance adherence.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to engage across all levels of the business.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build effective, collaborative teams.
- Demonstrated experience in talent management, leading People & Culture teams.
- Experience configuring and administering HRIS & Learning Management Systems with a strong UX focus (Cornerstone on Demand experience is desirable).
- Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to deliver strategic training and development initiatives, including compliance and leadership development programs.
- Experience in creating data models, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI.
- Strong ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
