JIVARO are currently working with a reputable Australian premium brand who are currently going through a period of evolution and are seeking a to appoint a newly created technical team. The primary function of this role is to support the Senior Garment Tech to manage and oversee all aspects of technical design to ensure accuracy of product measurements, quality, construction, and fit.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Technical Designer, and contributing to all aspects of technical design for every collection, including the creation of Tech Pack for every style, develop a fit comment document for all garment components, including fit, fabric, construction, stitch, and trim.
- Measure garments accurately to identify any fit issues and execute fit comments efficiently to remain on schedule with production.
- Participate in fit sessions, provide recommendations, note call-outs, and log critiques to accurately and efficiently address all issues.
- Provides support and checking the grading submitted by the factory is in fact in line with the companies grading guidelines.
- Pre-check and Pre-approve SMS samples for production approval after a thorough evaluation of fit, measurement, pattern shaping, hanger appeal, and functionality.
- Working in conjunction with the Senior Garment Tech, provide accurate grading information in line with the brands standards.
- Responsible throughout the fitting process to accurately update technical specifications until approved production sample.
- Helping with solving construction problems throughout the sample stage.
- Constant communication with the Design Lead, Product Development Manager, Production team and the Senior Garment Tech.
- Develop professional relationships with other team members and external vendor to ensure optimal communication, efficiency and productivity, as well as positive results in the overall development and the SMS and fit approval phase.

**To be successful you will have...**
- 3+ years minimum womenswear industry experience.
- Strong knowledge on all aspect of Technical Design, including Tech Pack, grading, fit comment.
- A genuine awareness of trends and the ability to incorporate this into fit sessions.
- Experience in Tech packing, Garment spec, Pattern making, & Grading is essential.
- Tech pack & garment spec knowledge is essential.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in fabric testing, têxtile properties and quality assurance.
- Willingness to Travel Internationally as required.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload with multiple deadlines.
- On-site working arrangements
- Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines.
- Tertiary qualifications in pattern making and garment construction.
