We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing and fundraising specialist to drive the development and execution of Deakin’s Regular Giving program. The Regular Giving Manager will perform as a key leadership function as part of Deakin’s growing Advancement team, reporting directly to the Director of Alumni Engagement, and we are looking for someone with a keen interest in joining a team that is experiencing a period of tremendous growth. This specialised role will work closely with the Development team and the Advancement Operations team to develop and deliver leading edge regular giving programs that support Deakin’s ambition to build meaningful philanthropy that makes a real difference to learning and research.

The incumbent will also maintain a high-quality stewardship process for active donors, working closely with the Donor Stewardship and Engagement team in doing so. Success will require a strong collaborative approach across the University, faculties, centres, institutes and professional service units.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Using key marketing concepts and exceptional communication skills to acquire new donors and retain existing donors.
- Demonstrating excellent project management skills to drive projects forward within required timeframes.
- Developing, maintaining and using a variety of systems, processes, diverse range of people and sources to gather information and gain deeper understanding to make critical strategic decisions
- Establishing systems and procedures to guide work, track progress and strive for excellence, and continually evaluate progress to effectively overcome barriers to achieve outcomes
- Using accepted theory and practices to develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement strategies in own work area
- Developing a network of useful contacts within Deakin and integrate perspectives held within different areas of the University to put plans in place to build collaborative efforts and develop common goals
- Meeting a number of annual performance targets relating to acquisition and retention of donors
- Ensuring data is securely maintained and updated through using the Deakin Advancement CRM - Deakin ARMS - in a timely and effective manner and using reporting and insights available through Deakin ARMS, and associated systems, to drive efficient and effective fundraising practice.
- Playing an active role in ensuring approaches to donors/prospective donors are coordinated across Deakin Advancement
- Displaying leadership in the field, through understanding and demonstrating best practice and emerging trends and providing innovative approaches to Regular Giving and serve as an expert advisor to internal stakeholders including the Faculties.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- Relevant post graduate qualification or applicable combination of qualifications and substantial experience.
- A robust understanding of philanthropy and the role Regular Giving plays within a philanthropic and alumni engagement context.
- An exceptionally strong understanding of key marketing concepts and demonstrated experience leading and implementing campaigns across various traditional and digital platforms
- Strong marketing and communication capabilities, particularly in digital engagement and on social media platforms
- Experience leading a Regular Giving program would be highly regarded
- Ability to analyse data to identify trends
