**IS THIS SOMETHING THAT INTERESTS YOU?**

The Foods Connected Head of Business Development will have overall responsibility to own and drive the company’s overall brand and growth business development strategy and execution. You will be responsible for developing, motivating, and guiding the Foods Connected team of Business Development Managers/ Executives to monthly, quarterly, and annual quota attainment with a focus on acquiring new business for our portfolio of products across the APAC region.

As part of this role you will provide leadership and ensure the execution of productivity and revenue expectations for their team are achieved. Daily activities involve coaching, managing outbound calling, prospecting and lead generation activities, participating in product demonstrations, and assisting deals to closure. As the existing team expands you will build and lead the Business Development function in order to scale our Foods Connected B2B SaaS business. You will report to the Commercial Director and be part of the leadership team. A strong knowledge of the Food Industry is essential.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead development of the strategy and execution of a comprehensive Business Development plan that includes:

- Executing a data-driven customer acquisition and engagement plan.
- Set business growth goals with leadership; analyse and report on performance, impact, and insights.
- Coaching and motivating the Business Development team, providing the training, support, and tools necessary to achieve individual goals and further their sales career.
- Ensures implementation of ongoing training programs regarding the Foods Connected sales methodology, product knowledge, and knowledge of the Food industry.
- Provide appropriate coaching and guidance for the Business Development team to improve performance.
- Express the distinct value of our company and solutions to the market and customers; Own product positioning and messaging
- Hire, manage, and develop a strong, high performing Business Development team, creating an environment that encourages personal growth and operational excellence.
- Own Business Development operations including the Sales tech stack, analytics, and reporting (HubSpot)
- Represent the voice of the customer and deeply understand the customer journey.
- Partner with all functions including Development, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Human Resources to facilitate team growth.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
To perform this job successfully, the _Head of Business Development: APAC_ _should have experience with:

- Knowledge of software solutions utilised across the Food Industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strategic use of CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Knowledge of strategic selling, sales methodologies, and sales industry best practices.
- Prior management experience
- successfully leading, managing, and mentoring remote teams.
- Microsoft: 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Software Industry interacting with Software systems for tracking Production, Quality, Supplier Compliance or Procurement.
- Prior experience and knowledge within the Food industry.
