The Human Resources and Property Branch, part of the People, Governance, Parliamentary and Communication Division in the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of innovative human resource services and practices to ensure staff are equipped to meet immediate and emerging challenges, and work collaboratively with the branches to coordinate and deliver professional centralised services to the Department.

We are currently seeking to fill the role of
**Assistant Director, Conduct and Performance Case Management** which is a leadership position within the Human Resources and Property Branch, and wider department.
- Assistant Director (EL1), Conduct and Performance Case Management_

This current vacancy is a critical position within the Conduct and Performance Case Management team and is responsible for implementing the department’s people performance strategies. The Assistant Director roles in the Section involve supporting managers and staff with performance and underperformance management, case managing APS Code of Conduct matters, Review of Actions, managing the department’s Workplace Harassment Contact Officer Network and developing and delivering Code of Conduct and Performance training to Branches across the Department.

**What will you do?**

In the
_Assistant Director, Conduct and Performance Case Management_ role you will enjoy working as part of a small and collaborative team, and will also have the opportunity to work on HR projects and implement new initiatives.

A summary of key duties of the roles include:
**Conduct and Performance case management (EL1 - ongoing) -** This role is responsible for supporting managers and staff with performance and underperformance management, the management of sensitive and complex case management in the APS context for code of conduct, probation, leading the review of our employment procedures, guidelines, reporting and review of action matters. Applicants for this role must demonstrate in-depth understanding of relevant legislation and policy and have the ability to communicate and build effective relationships with employees at all levels of the department. Strong analytical and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are necessary for this role.
