**The opportunity**:
Visy Glass has a wealth of experience in crafting pure, sustainable and iconic glass packaging for many of the world's best-known food and beverage brands. We are proud to provide high quality glass packaging for beer, wine, spirits, food, non-alcoholic beverages and dedicated to exceed our customers' expectations and fuel consumers' desire for glass.
The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist managing the line operation to meet customer requirements
- Ensure line quality and performance targets are achieved by monitoring glass conditioning, glass forming, annealing, and inspection through to packaging
- Lead the ongoing improvement in quality through monitoring and controlling the manufacturing process
- Undertake safety inspections, hazard identification, accident investigation and risk assessment
**What you will bring to the team**:
You’ll ideally hold experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment, being able to demonstrating a very strong mechanical aptitude (whilst not essential, a mechanical trade background will be strongly considered). You are fit to perform a range of physical tasks, including standing, walking and lifting - all in a safe and considered manner. You’re a good communicator and have the ability to work well under pressure.
You’ll be able to work independently and use your initiative to get things done, at the same time, enjoy working as part of a team. You’ll hold safety above all else, have a knack for continuous improvement with a high level of attention to details. You can identify innovative solutions for solving problems within all levels of the business.
