**Purpose of the role**
To ensure that all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities, including Tenant maintenance and/or approved minor works, complies with the client's operational guidelines, processes and requirements and meet statutory obligations to mitigate risk and reputational damage. This includes assisting tenants and their employees, sub/contractors, consultants and suppliers to understand how to comply with all relevant operational guidelines, policies, processes and requirements.**Key Responsibilities**

**Compliance and Administration**
- Maintain and report on all contractor, consultant, and O&M staff certifications as may be required including white cards licenses and qualifications.
- Work with O&M Service Managers and the Health and Safety team to close out any maintenance incidents or hazards identified, including liaising and obtaining necessary information from relevant consultants or contractors.
- Provide input and feedback into the development of operational systems and processes to ensure effective and efficient O&M activity, and to facilitate Tenant maintenance and minor works.
- Assist O&M Service Managers with preparing and understanding Health and Safety documentation requirements including safe work procedures.

**Contractor Compliance**
- Educate and assist O&M contractors and Tenant contractors to access and comply with systems and processes including but not limited to pre-qualification, inductions, and CHARM.
- Report on contractor compliance with pre-qualification and inductions.
- Facilitate line management approval of new contractors as required.
- Complete adhoc desktop and site audits at intervals as agreed with line management to check contractor performance complies with SWMS, management plans and other relevant submitted documents including permit approvals.
- Review and as required discuss with Tenant contractors to confirm that contractors have customized their SWMS and other documents so they are specific and have adequately considered the risks.
- Coordinate isolations with stakeholders to ensure mínimal impact to business continuity and risk.
- Use existing or develop new processes and information to manage sub-contractors’ compliance (or other specific tenant categories) by liaising with the relevant O&M Manager and Commercial team.

**Permit Management and Approval**
- Guide and assist O&M contractors and Tenant contractors to access and comply with permit requirements.
- Complete training modules to act as a Permit Manager for Tenant maintenance or minor works, or as directed by line management.
- Coordinate permit approvals to protect business continuity and facilitate efficient maintenance and operation activity.

**People and Teams**
- Liaise with the Commercial team as required to facilitate the approval of Tenant maintenance or minor works that complies with guidelines, process and other requirements.

**Essential Skills or Experience**
- Demonstrated sound working knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, WA 1984, Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, WA 1996 and subsidiary documents such as standards and Codes of Practice.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional construction/project safety advice and associated written reports.
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with a wide variety of people.
- Demonstrated high level of communication, and ability to present ideas, concepts and points of view in a clear, precise and logical manner both orally and in writing (including experience in report writing).
- Demonstrated experience in providing a high quality - service within a customer-oriented work environment, together with proven resilience and the ability to cope effectively with pressure and sustain high levels of effort and energy, together with the ability to accept changes in priority and adapt quickly to the changes.
