THE ROLE
Opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join Macquarie University to provide support to the Student Experience Program.
- Salary from $99,739 to $108,138 (HEW7) plus 17% employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.
- Appointment Types: Full-time, fixed term until 31 December 2025
- Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus North Ryde
The Role
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is the Chief Academic Officer of the University and is the member of the University Executive with overall responsibility for the planning, quality and delivery of education provided to Macquarie's undergraduate and graduate students.
The Data Analyst, Student Experience Program plays a key role in project delivery in a matrixed team environment. Your responsibilities will include working on innovative projects that leverage data to inform evidence-based decisions. The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering and analysing data, communicating findings, and developing actionable recommendations to support the design and implementation of the Education Strategy.
About You
You are an experienced and dynamic professional with a successful track record in data analysis, data modelling and reporting. You will be an someone who delivers to a high standard and has experience working in complex organisations, communicating complex information to a range of audiences, and coordinating multiple tasks/projects simultaneously analysing and reporting on confidential data. Ideally you are someone who also has an understanding of overall university operating processes.

- Experience with data analysis, data modelling and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to interrogate data and providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Defining, developing, and delivering insightful dashboards to a high standard using Power Bi.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data is maintained through robust and systematic controls.
- Sound command of R or Python programming languages (R preferred)
- Demonstrated experience developing strong consultative relationships with internal stakeholders in the achievement of organisational goals.
