We are looking for an **Environment Lead Biodiversity** to lead a team of environmental professionals who provide the technical, operational delivery and strategic support required for our Iron Ore business to manage and deliver our biodiversity commitments, risks and strategy.

This is a great opportunity to establish stability and capability within the biodiversity technical delivery team during the HSEC Integration change management process whilst leading a high performing team of technical professionals and contributing to impeccable ESG.

Reporting to the Environment and Biodiversity Manager and working in a collaborative community within Iron Ore HSEC, you will be:

- Support the HSEC integration change management process through the development of work roles/practices, performance rituals/cadences, forums and other integration opportunities
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the management and delivery of Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s biodiversity risks, compliance obligations, business commitments and strategy.
- Provide the technical support to enable the business to meet its environmental approval obligations including development of environmental management plans, support legal interpretation and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide strategic direction on the development, review and implementation of RTIO Biodiversity Strategy.
- Use data driven insights to provide advice and recommendations on management response actions to operational and functional teams at both asset and broader/regional scales.
- Review the environmental and biodiversity risks at an asset level and delegate Specialist support based on associated business needs.
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities.

- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and demonstrated experience in building strong relationships through partnering, listening and collaboration
