**About the role**:
The Governance Officer provides company secretarial duties to support the College’s governance structure. It also provides other compliance and administrative support as appropriate to the role and the needs of the College.

**Key Result Areas**:

- Coordinate and deliver governance processes such as scheduling meetings, drafting meeting agendas and papers, preparing minutes along with other activities as required for WSUIC Governing Bodies
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning
- Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with key external stakeholders

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- 3+ years’ experience successfully performing company secretarial/governance duties for reputable organisations
- Extensive understanding of the legislative and regulatory context related to corporate governance
- High level oral communication skills, including the ability to deliver management briefings and consult with staff at all levels of the organisation
- Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to prepare written material such as Board/Committee minutes, Agendas and Papers
- Demonstrated experience in producing and monitoring strategic and operational and business plans
- Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement of processes and procedures across organisational boundaries
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including strong skills in Microsoft Office suite packages.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in working in an international education environment
