**About the Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Junior Legal Assistant/ Paralegal / Lawyer to join our national organisation, on a full-time, fixed term or part-time basis depending on your preference.

This role will see you utilising your professional qualification and experience to provide day-to-day assistance with legal matters across the Questas Group of companies.

The role reports to the General Counsel and encompasses legal matters such as:

- Supporting the M&A legal due diligence process.
- Managing and maintaining legal documentation and records including data entry, document collation and organisation.
- Contract management, including reviewing and organising contracts.
- Providing administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organising files.
- Reviewing customer and supplier contracts and the preparation of departures schedule.
- Ensuring that the corporate governance is maintained with appropriate scheduling, recording and minuting of Board, BARC, Remuneration and Nomination meetings.
- Proactively seek ways to provide legal assistance which meets business requirements.
- Assist General Counsel in any legal dispute or litigation matters, utilising external legal advice as required.

The role is primarily based in our Seven Hills head office, with plans to relocate to Norwest later in 2024. Hybrid work options are also available once you are established in the role.

**About You**

This role may be best suited to a person who has one to three years’ experience, ideally with exposure to Commercial/Corporate and M&A.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following skills, experience and capabilities:

- A qualified lawyer admitted (or on your way towards) to practice law in Australia.
- Commercially astute, solution oriented, an avid learner, able to generate creative options and think ahead to anticipate potential problems.
- Attention to detail is critical to your success in this role.
- Ability to triage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates personal accountability for performance.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word (intermediate or advanced), MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint.
