**About the Role**
Working closely with our Accountant and our Director of Finance & Operations, this role will be a mixture of owning the end-to-end payroll procedures for our global workforce and entry of financial transactions.

**Responsibilities**:

Accounting & Financial
- Fortnightly processing of Australian, UK, & US accounts payable
- Invoicing and accounts receivable
- Preparation of Australian fortnightly payroll using Xero (approx. 110 employees)
- Submission of Australian super reporting obligations and payment
- Review of US (twice monthly) and UK (monthly) payroll using Xero & Gusto (approx. 25 global employees)
- Assistance with Australian bank reconciliations

Reporting & Operations
- Preparation of monthly BAS
- Preparation of payroll tax returns (SA, ACT, NSW)
- Preparation of adhoc reports on payroll, KPIs, budget holder, accounts payable, etc.
- Preparation of leave reporting for HR
- Assistance to staff with payroll and finance queries
- Management of the accounts internal mailbox and response to enquiries
- Management of accounts payable software (Zahara), establishing vendor set-ups and delegations
- Assistance to accountant in month end tasks
- Assistance with process improvement implementations
- ESOP letters & Investor Packs

**Required skills and experience**
- Australian citizenship
- 3+ years’ experience in a finance, book-keeping, payroll or accounting role
- Well-developed IT skills in Excel
- Certificates, degree or other qualifications in accounting or finance (desirable)
- Experience in Australian payroll management (ideally in Xero)
- Ability to problem-solve, suggest improvements and work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and organisation
- Willingness to learn and be challenged
