**This is a fantastic opportunity be part of the Defence Trailblazer for Concept to Sovereign Capability - a collaborative partnership between the University of Adelaide and UNSW.**

We are seeking a collaborative and highly experienced Academic Lead - Industry Curriculum with advanced interpersonal communication skills to join Defence Trailblazer.

Working in the Division of Academic and Student Engagement Faculty, the Academic Lead will report to the Executive Director - Education Transformation and will play an integral role in leading collaboration between Defence Trailblazer and industry partners. The Project Officer, Industry Upskilling, Defence Trailblazer will report to this position.

A particular focus of the role will be the development and delivery of Defence Trailblazer award programs and non-award micro-credential and short courses, the academic components of Vocational Education and Training (VET) Pathways, work integrated learning (WIL) placements and projects, and other experiential learning opportunities. All programs will be co-designed and delivered by partner universities and industry partners.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Evidence of effective undergraduate and postgraduate teaching practices, creative approaches to learning and teaching, and a passion for fostering educational excellence in others.
- Evidence of excellence in the design and delivery of work integrated learning (WIL).
- Evidence of effective collaboration with university and VET stakeholders in developing VET pathways to university.
- Proven ability to engage with various stakeholders (including industry and industry partners) to gain successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience within a university context in leading collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve inclusive educational design within student learning support, including professional development and leading a culture of excellence.
- Demonstrated experience in leading strategic outcomes with highly developed organisational skills.
- Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, initiating curriculum development, enhancement and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.

**Qualifications**:

- A Master or PhD level qualification and significant educational experience.

This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
