**About the Agency**

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within the Planning & Environment cluster. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.

To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.

**About the role**

The Manager, Grants Delivery is responsible for leading and coordinating the function and team responsible for the agency's portfolio of Commonwealth, State and other grant programs.

Key responsibilities for this role include (but not limited to):

- Oversee the establishment of new and existing grant programs, ensuring they are brought to market in an agile way, whilst managing the approvals required in a high risk and sensitive environment
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure new grant programs align with and support agency and whole of government objectives, and have appropriate risk controls and reporting in place
- Continually review the Grants portfolio to maximise efficiency and outcomes, introducing innovations where needed to deliver benefits for the agency, our communities, and grantees
- Collaborate with key internal teams to optimise grant program delivery and outcomes
- Manage and maintain a robust financial management and reporting system with appropriate governance to ensure the accurate and timely recording of grant allocation and provide ‘one source of truth’ information.
- Lead and coach staff to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and support to achieve agency objectives and drive a culture of high performance, best practice and continuous improvement.

- Strong commercial and financial acumen and familiarity with contract-based funding mechanisms
- Experience in working in a fast paced, dynamic environment whilst supporting a large team
- Significant experience in managing and developing the grants program lifecycle in a dynamic, high risk and sensitive environment
- Managed appropriate risk controls without losing a focus on community outcomes and the experience of grantees.
